That's a great question we often hear. At RxFitness we are 100% committed to our clients. The first thing to discuss is our equipment. It is not a machine that has plates stacked up and you put a pin into the hole to select the weight. Those often lack the ability to fine tune the setting . Our equipment can go up in one pound increments. Secondly, it is not a machine that uses hydraulic resistance. That is called isokinetic movement. The research clearly indicates that a superior form of resistance is positive and negative isotonic resistance. Our equipment uses variable isotonic resistance and even has the ability to increase the weight on the "negative" or let down phase of the movement. Because of the friction that occurs between the muscle fibrils you can almost always safely let down 30% more weight than you can lift up. You barely notice it but its that little difference that causes our program to blast the weight off and tone your muscles quicker than ever.
Can you give me a case scenario that would give me an idea how you would approach someone's' unique needs? Here's an example of our dynamic approach. Beth comes to us with some nagging neck and shoulder pain but also wants to get toned up and loose weight. At her initial sign up it is noted that she has a small partial tear in her rotator cuff and some bone spurs in her spine. We also notice that Beth holds her head 3 inches more forward than she should, she has overactive pectoral muscles, deconditioned lower thoracic muscles (Trap and Rhomboid), and is 30 pounds overweight. Our prescription for Beth is the toning strength circuit plus a series of expert designed shoulder and rotator cuff exercise used to strengthen the specific weak areas of her shoulder. This addition to Beth's program takes an extra 10 minutes to do but if Beth's time is really restricted we will redesign her circuit program to cut down on time.
What if I need to lose weight? Sometimes just showing up three to four ties per week is just not enough for you to reach your weight loss goals. In addition to our fitness circuit, more cardiovascular aerobic training might become necessary. RxFitness can help you determine what additional programs may help you reach your goals.
